Hi Dene,
sorry for the late reply.....have been messing around trying to get some
aircraft working only find I need teh new version......which I will download
very soon!!!!
The developers are fantastic and my hat is off them for what they have given
us, and continue to give us. Big round of applause from me!!!!
My system is about to be reformatted as it is "running like a dog." It will
be done this Saturday so will reinstall everything (I have to physical hard
drives, 1 with the OS and the other with everything else!!), so it will run
much nicer and faster than before....question though, would making the drive
NTFS make that much difference than Fat32? I know about the faster file
sharing and access but apart from that any real signifcance??
I have also been thinking really hard about building scenery objects for our
home based (I live in Christchurch, NZCH for the others on this list....),
airports, as there are no Terminals in the scnenry downloads I have....a
very nice Airport runway with taxiways but no real airport. Wigram is also
alittle sparse. I have been following with much interest the scenery thread,
started by you I think(?), and am still very clouded about the whole XML
thing (I still struggle with plain old HTML!!!!), but will do more research
and see what I can get.
Sorry for the ramble, must dash and do some house work (making beds etc...),
before the missus gets back :)
Slainte,
Andy Gorman
Hi Andrew,
I have also noticed this, that the user list is rather devoid of any
details of the up-coming release. I am also subscribed to the devel list
on a read-only basis as I am only running 098a because of hardware
limitations and am able to follow what may/may not be included in the
09.10 release.
BUT, i can see the point in keeping some of the details of ythe new
release on the developers list as they might not be progressed enough to
make it to the new release.
One point I would make though, from the posts on the devel lists...those
that can are doing their utmost to ensure that as much as can be provided
in a stable release is being provided.
Mean while my endeavours are to obtain a platform that will accomodate the
...hmmm not eye candy...hmmmm suppose you'd call it reality candy that
they're proposing.....
As I have said before, the productivity and vision of the devel
contributors is truely amazing...
I hope I've whetted your appetiete...
Cheers
:=D ene
