This is roughly my experience too..... copy the plane-set.xml to a 
plane-ai.xml delete or edit everything that relates to the aircraft 
property branch and rewrite the flaps/props/landing gear/and tail 
dragger XML relating it into the AI branch. the result is a model that 
can be used for statics or AI use with little or no editing... I have 
one of Chris's 747-400's as a static at NZCH (NZWN is too small for 
747's)... my thoughts.... those that can; please create hi-def 
liveries.... those that can't.... grab the models edit the xml and find 
the local park positions for them and populate your part of the world!!! 
add skybridges if applicable and leave the terminals up to those that can!!!

Wish list----- Land-cover DB so I can say... 22 December snow at this 
level between these bounds, 22 June snow at this level between these 
bounds...linearly calculate the interim values... add a time cycle, 
cover states and it might even cater for tides....
