Great, glad to hear 1.x maintenance hasn't been affecting 2.x.
I hope that puts to rest the issue for those who are strongly against
1.x continuance because it is thought to be holding back 2.x dev;
it seems that's simply NOT the case, and is a non-issue.
Sounds like 2.x is taking a while simply because rewrites are just
hard to do, and often take much longer than one anticipates.
