I think that is what everyone is hoping. It's just that the fltk1
group are taking it slowly along the long and winding road to protect
their commercial applications. The fltk2 group ran up the hill and
got there first, and are now getting their breath back :-)

It might seem that you are a small voice crying in the wilderness,
but if you can provide a patch you have already attained the second
level on the path to Open Source Enlightenment. Most people are:

  The unbeliever: "This software sucks!"

and those on the path are:

  The reporter:   "I'd like to report a problem with this software"
  The contributor:"I'd like to propose a patch for this problem"
  The developer:  "I am improving or adding to this software"
