Not a good point, after you have said the entire world is now a happening.  Read,
"now."

I can agree with that, but, in the beginning and in the doing, it's the artist
who makes the work and it's the artist who has the satisfaction in the process
and the completion.  After that, the viewer can make of it anything the viewer
wishes.

Sure, I've made art with found materials, done a lot of assemblage, but I want to
work in the medium I feel I need to express myself with for a given idea, and if
I need to buy stuff to do my work, I want to be able to do it.  So, sometimes I
DO need to buy materials.
