Cynthia- I think starting with your host's tech support people is the way to go, since the password system has to be set up on their server. It shouldn't be hard for them to set up password-protected directories in your site. What will probably be more difficult will be managing the individual user accounts and passwords, unless you plan to just use one password, and give it to all the members.
