This may as you say be a useful feature for a text viewer, but the main page for this app does say it is a code editor. This seems to be a very useless feature in code editing.
It does have key mapping, so if ctrl-C is too much work for your lazy butt, try changing the copy key to an F key. For your convenience, there's even 2 entries for copy, so you can lose the Ctrl-Ins instead of Ctrl-C. If you want your computer to read you a book, maybe you should look for some book reading software. Good thing you don't have to drive to a library, find a book, and turn pages the old fashioned way.
