grigri: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This might seem obvious, but what about implementing the feature ONLY for files that are open in read-only mode?
This way, it won't bother the people who need to edit, and those who need to view, rather than edit a file [and need this feature], open it in read-only mode. PSPad supports the /R command switch, so editing the registry for any file types that should be opened in read-only would be easy. Make any sense? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, this makes the most sense to me!! Also, any tab can be set to read-only (click Lock Icon on Toolbar) (RightClick on the tab, 5th item down). And, perhaps, make it configurable. "read-only tabs select to clipboard" Default No. I am a programmer and use pspad extensively for coding but I also use pspad for reading and searching log files and other projects code. So I would benefit both ways. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,29097,42219> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
