Two words.... BAD DEVICE

This is ONLY going to COST you MAJOR support $ and anyone
who uses it or it gets attached to.

In the PC world I hope the WHQL tests would fail you.

The following ASSUMES you never intend to hook
up INTR (if it was just a bond out error, you will
just have to spin the chip again).

1) Without a INTR how do I do anything but PIO ?
        (No DMA, UDMA, etc)

2) Without a INTR, you are saying I am going to
constantly poll while you are doing a seek ?

Gee I guess you don't care at about CPU utilization ?

For what: Saving one pin... gee what about the other 30
signals... -

Let me count the ways we can BREAK this interface:

1) If you only wanted to do PIO, why not get rid of IORDY ?
Just don't try and stretch the cycle (your not using IORDY
        for PIO are you -:)

Hey you can still do MWDMA

2) And since you don't want to support DMA, I assume you did
not include DMARQ, DMACK (That's 2 more PINS)

3) Reset: Never hang and do a good power on reset... -:)

        That is another PIN

4) Take off CSEL and the MS/SL jumper and answer for both
the Master and Slave position... and if you do that
you don't need the DASP signal (cause you don't care
if there is a Slave drive or not -:)

        That's two more PINS
