THIS CLEARLY DOES NOT REPRESENT AN OPEN STANDARDS PROCESS. ANSI sponsored discussions and meetings are open to the public. If the SATA technical questions can only be addressed in private/secret meetings then it is extremely misleading to make people think SATA is an open ANSI standardization process. When will this deception end? We all know that the SATA private/secret meetings are attended by the same companies and same people that are at T13 meetings. We all know that nothing will get done by a T13 meeting without prior discussion and approval of a previously held private/secret meeting. I still don't understand why SATA is even an ANSI project. Why isn't it just another privately developed and maintained specification like PCI, PCMCIA, or CompactFlash? At least with these it is clear that the discussions and meetings are not open to public input and discussion. The false representation of SATA as an ANSI open standard process must end!
