I see the "lockup" occasionally under Win2k.  It is usually in the final 
stages of closing down as the documents are saved OK and  the app 
disappears from the task bar *but*  there is still an instance of 
client99se.exe in the Task manager|Processes tab.  Leaving this instance of 
client99se.exe running can interfere with other apps - most notable Eudora 
may hang while starting if this orphaned instance of Protel is not killed.

My wild-arsed guess is that there is something to do with network or jet 
database connections not being released correctly or possibly a 
disconnection to these services not being handled correctly - that is why 
other apps that may use these same services are affected.  Of course this 
is more likely to be wrong than it is to be right.
