Yes. My experiences with SP5:
I had many unusual weird problems using Protel until I changed my graphic
setup.
Win2K is better than 98 but the real solution was to not use the ATI video
hardware.
My Dell dimension PIII-500 has ATI graphics on the motherboard which cannot
be disabled, but can be made the secondary display.
I installed a PCI video card (voodoo) and ran two displays for awhile.
that was nice, but unreliable) As long as you don't display anything -even
non protel applications- on the display being driven by the ATI hardware
it's ok that you can't actually disable it.
After several weeks with two displays, I disconnected the display from the
ATI connector, and I've been running that way for months.
My next computer will not have built in video on the motherboard.
Now I just have the usual weird problems.
