Another aspect of previous versions of PCAD, if not also PCAD 2001, is that
layers can be *paired* to one another. As such, an object (within a
component) placed on one of these layers is shifted to its paired layer when
the parent component is moved to the other side of the PCB.
I have suggested that users similarly be able to (optionally) pair
Mechanical layers in Protel. But providing this would have internal database
implications, so it could not be provided in any future SP for Protel 99 SE.
So *if* it ever was to be implemented, it would be in a future major release
version of Protel. (There are reasons to believe that Protel intends to
release another major version before the end of this year, but yet another
SP will still be released for Protel 99 SE at some stage.)
