I was about to reply to this thread and then came this mail from Akash :) Yeah, it's really high time for the community to do some free/open source software development projects for real. This way, even if the community members can't contribute being physically present, they could contribute online itself whether they are in Nepal or elsewhere. We have already been mulling it for quite sometime now. Some of the projects like Nirvikalpa and Ubuntu L10n are already going on. Just the other day, I had a talk with Jwalanta about starting one, be it on a small scale, like font conversion tool(s), e-Barnamala just to name a few. Maybe Jwalanta could shed some light on it. And I guess Prabin dai would be more than happy to help us out with the e-Barnamala project. @C2: It would be great if you could help out with some of the already existing projects or help initiate a few new ones yourselves in the near future. Your contributions would be really appreciated by the community. And loads of thanks for initiating this thread :) Cheers, Subir -- FOSS Nepal mailing list: [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/foss-nepal To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] Mailing List Guidelines: http://wiki.fossnepal.org/index.php?title=Mailing_List_Guidelines Community website: http://www.fossnepal.org/
