Hi Dan, Thanks for your replying:)
I am very sorry that in 'http://fossology.org/user_documentation'--> 'How to use Email Notification' It says v1.1.0 had this feture. I am not note these information... But when I enter into 'http://fossology.org/user_documentation', it says 'This page provides an index of FOSSology user documentation for Version 1.0.' on the top of this page, so I do not take notice of the message in 'how to use Email Notification'... And in install instruction, it says: * sendmail - for sending notification emails (optional) If you want to be able to receive notification emails about fossology processing, you need an /usr/sbin/sendmail command that fossology can use to send mail. All mail transport agents(MTA) (like postfix, exim, sendmail, etc.) provide this command and you probably already have it on your system, but you may need to configure the MTA to be able to send the mail where you want it to go. Does it relate with email notification or other feature? By the way, when v1.1.0 plan to release? Thanks very much:) Regards, Alice "Dan Stangel" <dan...@fossology .org> To "Dan Stangel" "Gobeille, Robert" <dan...@fossology <[email protected]>, "Alice Liu" .org> <[email protected]> cc 2009-05-20 01:54 <[email protected]> Subject RE: [FOSSology] some usage question about fossology Hi Alice and Bob, On Tue May 19, 2009 at 08:56 AM -0700, Gobeille, Robert wrote: > On May 19, 2009, at 7:24 AM, Alice Liu wrote: >> ... >> Question2: when I upload package, there are 4 optional analysisy: >> >> 1. schedule License Analysis >> 2. schedule MIME-type Analysis >> 3. schedule Medadata Analysis >> 4. schedule Spec File Analysis >> >> Is these related with file type? I have created a new documentation page to address this. It is online here: http://fossology.org/fossology_analysis_agents Please let me know if there is more information we should include here in future. >> Question3: In your instruction, it says we can use 'email notify' in >> fossology1.0, and when "edit User", we can choose "check to enable >> email notification of completed analysis". I looked in the documentation and I did not find anyplace that said "email notify" was available in 1.0.0. Alice, can you provide a link if this was found in the online documentation? It is definitely available in version 1.1.0 but not before. I'm sorry for the confusion. Thanks, Dan
