Hi Bob, Thanks for your helping!! I have learned lots of things(*^__^*) But I still had some troubling:
1.About the question1, I want to export license result to my local system,
that other people can see the result easily and no need to login fossology.
But it is not requried, only one idea:)
2.About question2,
'The Metadata analysis uses libextractor to determine information about
various files. For example, the author in pdf files, the resolution of
jpg's, etc.'
It means when my uploaded package has some specific files, such as pdf,
jpg... I should open this optional, right? If my uploaded package only has
text file, C file...and do not choose 'Metadata analysis', it can metadata
analysis by default right? In my environment, when I uploaded some common
type files, and do not choose 'Metadata analysis', I also can see the
'meta' in result.
But I had one problem: when I upload some specific type file, such as jpg,
pdf...but it does not upload successfully and with any comments in uploaded
page and log file? I installed the fossology base on the install
instructions, I installed the dependencies,is there any settnig I should
set? or is there anything I am wrong?
Thanks very much!!!
Regards,
Alice

No. But if you can tell us what information you want in the report
export data file I'll see what I can do for you, or at least put it on
the to do list.

If you only want the license analysis, 1. is the only one you need.
The MIME-type analysis simply determines each files type. The Spec
File analysis uses this information to determine what files to parse.
The Metadata analysis uses libextractor to determine information about
various files. For example, the author in pdf files, the resolution
of jpg's, etc.
The spec file analysis just parses RPM spec files and puts that data
(like dependencies, category, etc) into the database.
You can see the data that the mime-type, metadata, and spec file
analysis put in the database if you run those agents and look at the
[meta] link when you are browsing.

email notification was added after 1.0. It will be officially
released in 1.1.
