You're right Rick, that's how I proceeded to learn, first by looking closely at existing scripts to get the most useful routines and then modifying them a bit. I'm still at beginner's level but some scripts help me already a lot (BookClearChangebars at book level and SaveBookasMIF, really helpful as first step of a localization process (FM -> MIF)).
You can feel it's really a powerful tool.
