We are finally moving to Windows 7 (just as Windows 8 is around the corner!). I just got a Dell 64 bit Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz machine with 4 GB Ram. It has Windows 7 Enterprise loaded. I have FrameMaker 10.0.0.388 and Acrobat X 10.1.3.
Everything works great until I try to create a PDF from FM. The whole system just hangs, or seems to be printing so slowly, several minutes per page, that it might as well be hung. I have Adobe set as the default printer, and I have tried printing directly and Save As with the same result. Simple, one page documents will sometimes print or save to PDF, but anything longer hangs or takes forever. Even printing to PS gives the same results; one page works, but anything longer hangs. I wasted most of yesterday with a very senior and knowledgeable PC Tech and got nowhere. If we can't fix it I will have to go back to XP to get any work done. Any ideas?
