That is exactly what the Adobe Tech and I did, plus many other things, during a 
two hour session.  He was stumped and is elevating it to a more senior 
troubleshooter. More to come!

I had serious problems with Acrobat X when I first installed it on Windows 7, 
64-bit, particularly after applying the first two updates. 
The updates kept reassigning the port to COMM1 and losing the desktop and 
document ports! The solution was to go to Devices and Printers, delete the 
Adobe PDF printer, and then go into Control Panel and do a repair on Acrobat.
