Well, got it working and it is TERRIFIC!! Wasn't easy though. Because it takes so long to compile my ACPI kept kicking in and shutting the machine down - this was either becuase the CPU was too hot (I am using a laptop) or else because of inactivity on any terminals.
I never thought I would see the day, but now I can open Excel and Word docs in FreeBSD no problem! And its fast! I'm trashing my Windows partition tonight! Viva BSD!
