Follow-up Comment #7, bug #21576 (project freeciv):
maybe install a one-liner that sources the default/ file
or install code which removes unwanted files that might exist
there are other remains in the ressoures, shown by
$/usr/local/share/freeciv$ find . -mtime +14 -printf "%p %Tcn"
at a time /scenario/ has been renamed to /scenarios/ now all files are double
/usr/share/freeciv does not exist here, I've purged the Debians
or a cut:
/usr/local/share/freeciv$ rm -rf *
