My two cents,

DEFRAG's that thrash FAT32 because they don't understand FAT32
Agreed. No dangerous sw should be in the standard didtribution.
b) decide which chkdsk to use; providing 2,3 or more is as
unuserfrienly as possible - if YOU can't decide which one to use,
how's a user supposed to choose ?
I use one that works 100% and I have tested:
dosfsck -af C:
and the version I used (indicated by someone here in the list, sorry I
don't remember who) is 60896 bytes 15aug05 02:26 (not so sure about the
date, it could have changed with the download)
c) make it a DOS distribution ( ~1-2 MB), not a pile of each and
every more or less useful or useless programm that happens to
work on freedos; provide a hyperlink for [more packets]
I agree. But I am making my own distro, which just shows that I disagree ;-)
For example, to my mind the following two would be essential:
- INT-2E backdoor
certainly not a showstopper, even if it might be useful for someone
Could someone remind me of what is this problem?

And one more: I vagely remember a problem about "Abort or Retry..." is
is solved? What did it affect and was it a kernel or freecom problem?
