Hi!
While SvarDOS MORE indeed sounds very basic, SvarDOS TREE
could be interesting: It seems to be a variant of PD TREE
which makes it both SMALLER and more multilingual. However,
it lacks one important feature of PD TREE: LFN.
For a best of both worlds version which could be used as
PD TREE replacement in the distro, LFN could get re-added?
Another interesting difference: SvarDOS TREE uses the label
file name, while PD TREE uses the boot sector label string.
Are there any recommendations which is better? Which labels are
shown and updated by label-related MS DOS commands, for example?

I think I need more info on this one. We already include TREE 3.7.3 in
Base, and PDTREE 1.02-1a in Util. Does SvarDOS TREE have features that
aren't in the other two TREE programs? Why include a third TREE
program?
SvarDOS TREE is a modified PD TREE. No need to add it in my opinion. Changelog:
