Yeah. I think it's important to realize that what's LEGAL and what's
REALISTIC in this country is really not the same thing at all.

Consider, for example, white power Web sites. They're perfectly legal
(if loathesome). However, they're getting rarer and rarer, because
ISPs will pull the plug on racist content without question.

Consider abortion clinics. Abortion is legal in the US -- but 86% of
US counties don't have an abortion facility available, due to
harassment by anti-abortion groups.

Consider trying to talk about sex anywhere on AOL.

Consider that corporations trust other corporations more than they
trust their own customers.

Anyways, I think the ISP-based denial of service B-) is a very real
attack.

P.S. It's most important to realize that in many, many countries
suspicion is synonymous with guilt. Consider this conversation:

Dissident: "You can't -prove- that that file was on my node because I
published it. It could have got there by being pulled from
        another node in Freenet!"

Bully Strongman: "Hmm. I guess you're right. We cannot summarily
execute you since we have no proof that you're collaborating
with the Resistance. I guess we will release you to go home to
        your family."

Dissident: "Whew! Thank goodness!"

Bully Strongman: "Haha! Just kidding." <BLAM!>
