Hey well done Steve! Codec 2 700C running on the SM1000 through the internal microphone is a great step forward.

There is an acoustic problem with that microphone when in teh case, I think it needs sleeve around it. A mechanical-acoustic bug we need to look into.

However the overall sample quality is OK - it's pretty much on par for the 700 bit/s codec. I'm hearing a lot of it on-air lately as I test FreeDV 700D mode (which, confusingly, using the Codec 2 700C codec).
