I could find no function to turn off the magic_quotes_gpc. I don't know why
they created one to turn off magic_quotes_runtime but not the other. If
anyone has any other suggestions, I would be much obliged :-)

Unfortunately, because they are using PHP3, you may not override the
magic_quotes_gpc directive in an .htaccess file. However, I do believe
that there's a function to turn it off, so that you can just turn it off
in index.php3. Once you get things working, perhaps you can add this
question to the Freetrade FAQ.
