I have set up things in local_conf.py, else tv wouldn't work at all... I noticed
You don't need to use test_ioctl to set the card up, look in the local_conf.py for the options. You set everything up there and you don't need to do anything elsewhere for that.
that the channellist (europe-west) does not work for my region. Maybe that
causes the problem.
