1. I'd recommend Nvidia for it's Linux support. But that wasn't your
upgrade, naw was it?
2. I'd recommend a cheap Trust audio card. Has a lot of outputs, and
s/pdif works great on Linux (Windows is an other story!). But then
again, I think a lot of sound cards now a days may have s/dpif
on-board....
