I have a Gigabyte mobo with nForce 630i (integrated Geforce 7150 with
VGA/DVI/HDMI and integrated sound card with Audio 7.1 with optical
output), supports Intel Core Quad. It would be a nice mobo for a HTPC.

AFAIK multiple cpu core won't help decoding HD-Video. A powerfull Core2
Duo like Intel E8200/E8500 processors. BTW, I think a HTPC must not do
noise, so you can't overclock..or have a water-cooling system.

I was using a Terratec DMX Fire, I don't know about news Sound Blaster
XI-FI or Live 2020. Maybe standard ones like mine is enough.

Video Card should not be a problem. I don't know what pretends the
Freevo team with new releases but if they try to put a 3D-system in ours
Freevo menus, you should have the 3D acceleration enabled :P. nVidia
should be enough, as I said before, GeForce 6600+ enough.(LE/LP or GS =
LowProfile = Fanless). BTW, nobody knows if PureVideo is going to be
supported under Linux = fast CPU =).
