You might consider an integrated "Media"-Mainboard. You can have HDMI
(integrated passive cooled nvidia 430 Chipset) and SPDIF (optical and
coax) directly on the mainboard. As a Media PC is quite stable
regarding those two parts (upgrades consist of diskspace and tuners)
it should fit for a rather long time. Except if you want to go for
HD-Video. Than a dedicated Graphic Card (with quite some power and a
noisy fan) is a must.
