Wim,

>Idaya claims all the code in FreeVSD has been written by themselves. I
quote :
>"Neither freeVSD nor ProVSD contains any code submitted by any person
outside of
>the Idaya organisation."

I'm sure they state this.

>And another quote :
>"Idaya is the copyright holder of all code in freeVSD and ProVSD. If you
(or
>anyone else) can point out any code not developed by the Idaya organisation
we
>will
>gladly remove it. We do not believe there to be any."

>Another interesting sentence :
>"Finally, I would like to say that freeVSD was originally released under
GPL to
>give
>something back to the community from which it was born; but freeVSD is a
growing
>project
>and that costs real money to keep alive."

This sentence means exactly this: FreeVSD was born (i.e. made) by the
community.
RedHat, Apache, GNU, everybody needs real money to survive. The way idaya is
trying to make them is not correct and will lead to discruption of the
community and eventually to people buying other software.

I personally am switching to sphera and will not recomment ProVSD to anybody
(it costs more and does less).

Dave.
