I'd recommend skipping learning another server-side language, unless
you're bored out of your gourd. Honestly PHP and CF are the same damn
thing, ignoring the little subtleties and the syntax.
If you've got the time, I'd recommend looking client side at Flash, it's
wicked cool compared to HTML/DHTML.
On a completely different note, some of the things I've been personally
churning in my head are computers in the home. That's a totally new
environment for me and offers some very interesting possibilities. My
father is a carpenter, he and I started designing a flat panel monitor
that will hide itself in the wall using some sort of motor. Once we get
that working, I'm going to work in some type of voice recognition to
activate the monitor. Talk about futuristic!! :-)
