Generally, if you see an error message, that's important information to
pass on to whomever is trying to help diagnose a problem. Certainly
that error message gives me more to go on that just "it didn't do
anything."
So, even though you have the option of ignoring that error message when
saving the rule, it's still meaningful, and what it says is true, which
is that the input to the MakePostNetBarcode function can only contain
numbers (digits, 0 through 9), and not any letters or spaces or other
characters.
So, the problem is in the data you are passing to the function. Let's
step back a bit. What do you get if you just return the field values,
without calling the MakePostNetBarcode function, something like this,
but with your actual field names:
return Field("ZIP") + Field("DelivPoint");
If the result contains anything other than numeric digits, you need to
remove them before calling the MakePostNetBarcode function.
