No problem. The XML template rule generally works, but modifying that
generated code can be tricky. I think it's simpler to just write
something like this:
return MakePostNetBarcode(Field("ZIP") +
Trim(Field("DelivPoint")));
Where the Trim function will take care of the case where the field value
has extra spaces.
Also, there is a known issue with the template XML rules where they will
not always report exception messages when you save them like the
JavaScript Rule Editor does. However, the message will still appear in
the Composition Status dialog when composing, and in the log (.msg)
file. So, the first step whenever something doesn't look right in the
output is to do a composition and examine the log file for any relevant
error messages.
