Chris,

I do not need to recognize my addiction to caffeine. I enjoy it as long as I
have it, but I don't experience the desire to put all life aside to continue
my habit, as some might for a drug. I'm sure it's no more of a concern than
your next ale, or mineral water, should you run out. If I get headaches from
not eating, am I also a hopeless addict in that respect? Dropping off after
dessert is typical of most people because sugar affects us all similarly:
you get energized, but the levels drop off. Or perhaps diabetes or
hypoglycaemia are in the picture. I didn't lecture anyone on addiction. I
was relating to you some facts from greater studies and the findings of
personal experience in both professional and voluntary capacity with
troubled people. You were the one lecturing on addiction.

As to my ignorance of the strawman usage, I guess you are going to use that
as a pretext to quit, rather than admitting that the content of my last
reply put you into a bit of a corner. It's obviously a sensitive topic for
you, and you are entitled to your beliefs, but there are stronger data than
what you offered regarding addiction, and I have the right to counter your
data. Don't give me this childish "you are not worthy of discussing
something with me "dismissal" cr-p.That is so like a loser trying to save
face, and I'm sure that you don't want people to think any such thing. I
have spent a lot of time helping many young people, and I deserve some
credit for my observations. You are not speaking from a very broad base of
information, and so far nothing from personal experience.

Over and Out,
Natalia
