Hmm -- this was the sort of use-case I was getting at in my previous
reply -- if you happen to see this again (and I am willing to bet the
effect is intermittent if not difficult to reproduce all the time),
can you see if it is applicable to Opera and/or xterm only, or if any
application obscuring xterm causes the effect?
I'll take a look (it was frequent enough that I got in the habit of
iconifying xterm).
