ROFLMAO!

It ain't just Apple, trust me. IME, Apple is about the ONLY
manufacturer who makes easy-to-repair laptops.

Try fixing a Sony Vaio sometime...I swear, every Sony is programmed to
break 3.45 days after the warrantee expires, and since Sony only makes
a given model for a week and a half before replacing it with a
completely different design, parts and guides are very hard to find.

Most manufacturers are stuck in the Performa 6625CD-era of
manufacturing, or worse.

Like Dell, for example. Three consumer models with consecutive serial
numbers can have different components inside.

It's always refreshing when you enter a serial number for one of their
consumer models into the support web site and are shown a list of 17
different video drivers, ONE of which is correct, and any number of
which will brick the damn thing if you choose wrong.

Their BUSINESS line, the optima and some other japanese-car-sounding
name for their laptop line, are much more stable, in terms of
components, but lo and friggin' behold, when you cost those out,
they're the same price or more expensive than Macs.
