This may sound like a stupid question. I'm relatively new to all of these 'new' Macs. I recently purchased some G3 iMacs (which claim to be 333Mhz) and a G3 PowerBook 'Wall Street' (which is supposedly 266Mhz). The PowerBook didn't come with a power adapter and I had to purchase one from eBay. I had been playing around with the iMacs and was getting used to their sluggishness. They work fine, they just seem to be a bit slow on the video refresh. I expected even less from the PowerBook since it was only a 266Mhz. Much to my surprise, the PowerBook seems to run circles around the G3 iMacs. The Grapher application is noticeably faster; way faster. Can anyone give me some insight into why this is? One of the iMacs even has an upgraded video adapter. Thanks.
