Hi Simon,
Nice to hear about your pismo, these machines really do stand
the
test of time, it's a wonder why apple don't take hints from the past
when designing their newer machines. Even though their age goes
against them, their modular design is far better than most things on
the market today. My hdd is a 120 gig with the same spindle speed as
yours, and I must say I'm very happy with it. I initially thought I'd
fill it with my itunes library, but then I thought I'd put the itunes
library on my external 500 gig that is hooked up to my airport
extreme base station and run itunes from there, freeing up a huge
section of my hdd on the laptop.
I use my pismo mostly for emailing, surfing and the odd letter
writing (word-processing), plus I'm also in the middle of writing a
book on my old pc laptop in word, so I'm wanting to get that put
across onto my mac.
