The golden age for Apple and do-it-yourself Apples was back in the Apple II age, IMHO. :) Re: the modular vs "newer" designs--depends on your marketing strategy -i if you want people to have a machine that they can use for years and repair themselves when necessary, give them something modular. If your model however is to sell new and more machines........
