As I recall from when I used PowerBook 3400 and 3500 models with those cards, the other thing that was critical to do was to reset the AppleTalk to run over that card. AppleTalk defaults to serial port if not reset. Often you needed to change the setting to 'other card' or 'other slot' or some such non-descriptive title to get things to work.
On a second point, the only version of the Airport software that worked for me was an older one. Newer ones look for usb ports that the old machines do not have, and never get set right to work as a result? I'd have to hunt out the zip disk I archived that stuff on to be sure what specific version of the airport software worked. I found Proxim cards much easier to setup and use than the Wavelan as the Proxim software did not require airport software at all...one less thing to setup and get working! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On 1/28/09 12:47 AM, "Clark Martin" <[email protected]> wrote: > > lrbarrios wrote: >> Thanks for the info, Clark.
