Hi, Mike - One thing that may not be obvious is that the Airport software is useful only with cards that are natively recognized as Airport cards. Third party drivers most likely will not make the card recognized by the Airport software. Look for some other installed software that allows you to control the card. The Orangeware driver installs a preference pane, while (at least one version of) the Ralink driver installs an application. I have used both (using the Orangeware right now).
