I've run into those problems but a magnet or tweezers have always 
sufficed.  iFixit has to strike a balance between enough and too much 
detail.  But I have always found their instructions to be good and 
haven't found any others that were as good (mind you once I found iFixit 
I didn't look a lot further).

  I have encountered that, the red and orange are close.  I can tell the 
difference but I know many people do have more limited color perception. 
  I kind of wish they used lines pointing from the table of screws to 
the points on the picture.
