Glad to hear you solved the problem, I assumed you had seated the processor correctly as you said it worked if you fitted another one, and yes I agree they do need an almost excessive amount of force to seat fully as I have found myself (I currently own 3 Pismos, 2x 400Mhz & 1x 500Mhz + 1 wallstreet and have had them all apart many times) Ben.
