True Bruce , but it shouldn't get too hot.

My Pismos heatsink  even after 1 hour of moderate use on a summers day will 
never get more than hot to the touch if I whip the keyboard off and touch it 
with my finger ( OK it is still pretty hot to touch but I wouldn't burn a 
finger , put it that way ).
Anything more than that and I think MacDirk has more serious issues causing 
this problem.

Are all vents in this machine free of dust ?
