XPF will work around the 8GB limit (its working on mine right now).

Also it will install the needed extensions when you start it up in
os9.

Whether a Tiger installed on another machine will work I cannot say.
Sometimes os9 won't work that way either. but worth a try if you
haven't yet erased all that.
