One thing not yet mentioned is that Mac OS X is picky about the 8 GB
requirement. I have found the following:

Setting the first partition to exactly 8 GB for Mac OS X will result in
an unbootable partition. Currently I am running well with a 7.95 GB
partition. However, XPostFacto consistently gives me the warning icon
for this partition. It is a yellow triangle with a "!" exclamation mark
inside. It is warning that this partition is outside the 8 GB
requirement. Nonetheless, the partition works fine.

If I use something below 7.9 GB for the partition, this warning sign
goes away.

I also have one of the mysterious PDQs that is entirely incapable of
running 10.3 (have never tried 10.4) on it without regularly locking up
with the video problem listed in the XPostFacto documentation. I've
tried many times over many years.
