Which it does, per the OSX version (>= 10.3) noted on the Apple KB

Is that a blanket 10.3, or only for "Airport ready" models? Was the
Pismo ever sold as Airport ready? Using a PCMCIA or Airport to
PCMCIA card adapter would say "no" to me. This might be an arbitrary
restriction that Apple imposed for no real reason or a technical one
due to reliability of the Cardbus interface.
Yes, the Pismo was Airport ready. I owned one, in fact the Airport
card in my TiBook that I'm currently using came from it.
Many people use pc cards in the Pismo to get higher speed Wifi. Back
when original Airport cards were worth their weight in unobtanium, a
few years back, many people went to pc cards and USB sticks for cost
reasons as well, although original Airport cards are back down in sane
price ranges.
