Hi All
I have a G3 iBook 500 with no sound. 10.4.11. I t shows the volume is up but
can't get any sound from speakers. I looked at a manual from PowerBook Medic.
But it doesn't refer to any sound card. Do these machines have a separate sound
card?
Try plugging in some headphones.
I plugged in phones and they work properly, but there is no speaker selection
in the device box in sound preferences.
Try plugging and unplugging the headphones several times. It's likely
the switch in the headphone jack is having problems.
