you could use some external players for watching YouTube, such as Perian or vlc. AFAIR owing to vlc my BeOS machine with the last system official upgrade from 2001 could play YouTube movies, even though there's no flash plugin for this operating system! YouTube's web player is such a resource hog that it consumes 100% of my CPU (small screen), compared to 30% usage when it comes to external player (full screen). Don't be fooled by the small amount of VRAM by today's standards, my Portege (PIII 500 mhz) with only 4 megs of video memory could play flash just fine. So 500 mhz G3 with 8 mb video chip outperforms it easily. Gotta try this on my Wallstreet :-) Regards, Mike -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Books, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
